Oocyte donation is the anonymous and altruistic provision of eggs from a woman (donor) so that another woman (recipient) can get pregnant. Any healthy woman who meets the conditions established by the legislation can donate their eggs. The donors are always women aged between 18 and 34 who undergo a whole range of psychological, medical and genetic tests.

In Spain, the law protects this anonymous and altruistic technique.
